Bio: Cary Lane, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of English at Queensborough Community College, CUNY, where he teaches freshman composition, developmental reading, and developmental writing. He also serves as curator-in-residence at the Kupferberg Holocaust Center (KHC), where he curates exhibitions and coordinates the inclusion of exhibition-related content and themes into pedagogy across the disciplines. He also mentors student interns and work-study students at the KHC, as they participate in hands-on research, archiving, exhibition design, and the mounting of exhibitions. Dr. Lane’s research interests include examining creative and arts-based teaching approaches aimed at improving text-based literacies.
